Hello! If you are interested in a wonderful piece of unique waterfront property at an affordable price, then keep reading. I bought a lot on Sugar Creek 4 years ago and have loved that lot and the area around it. For those of you not familiar with Sugar Creek, it is off of the Elk River in Athens, Alabama. Sugar Creek is a unique area as it is not a restricted subdivision on the river. This lot is unique because it is somewhat split. The lot has 80 feet of waterfront, and is about 250 feet deep from the water to the back of the property. The waterfront part is a narrow strip, wide enough to build a large deck, dock or boathouse. The majority of the property is located behind the street up on a hill. One of the things that is so great about this lot is that we have cleared and run power to the top of the hill, and have a camper up there. You are COMPLETELY secluded as everyone else has houses down on the waterfront side. So you get the best of both worlds, total seclusion in the peaceful woods as well as waterfront property to pull your boat up to or fish.
